During our bi-annual planned preventative maintenance visit to TK Maxx in Knottingley, remedial works were picked up and rectified under Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). These regulations stipulate that equipment must be:
- suitable for the intended use
- safe for use
- maintained in a safe condition
- inspected to maintain its condition
The team installed 19 new dock shelters keeps the unit compliant with relevant legislation, and ensures that it is safe for all users. They also provide a seal between the internal and external environments, which helps reduce energy consumption.
