DT Services provided and installed a brand new set of automatic swing doors in Halifax Bus Station, West Yorkshire, close to Leeds.
The new cabin is to be used as a waiting area, and will therefore have a high volume of foot traffic. The door is operated by radar, so there are no push buttons for the public to use. This brings an increase in hygiene, especially important during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as allowing the station to comply with disability legislation as it can be accessed easily by all users.
As well as allowing access, the radar will also detect any obstruction, a vitally important safety feature which will help to prevent any accident or injury from the door's opening. This protects the safety of users, as well as the reputation of the company.
The doors were manufactured by DT Services using aluminium and 24mm double glazed units. Our highly skilled team then installed using a Record DFA 127 double swing unit to automate access.
The new automatic doors installed in Halifax Bus Station not only look great, but will allow bus passengers easy access to the waiting area.
